According to Tim Hain, a WSL partner in hosting an Asian surfing competition. Many surfers know Krui and the south of Sumatra, due to the large number of homestays and foreigners who have come to surf for about 20 years. For 20 years there has been no international surfing competition held, because there is no party that supports financially until now. Therefore this event is a great start competition for WSL Asia and Krui.
